3/About

GEYMis a men’s brand focused on style and performance, sharp outdoor apparel and designed using cutting edge tech and high quality fabrics, for performing urban travellers, constantly on-the-go. Every detail is important, with functionality and technique at the heart of each piece. GEYM’s collection includes technical fabric sourced in Japan, Italy and England. Light, breathable, and instantly recognizable, GEYM apparel is designed as a second skin perfectly suited to the infinite playground of the city.
THOMAS ERBER / Co-founder & sales director
After actively participating in the launch of L’Optimum and Jalouse magazines, and founding L’Officiel Voyage… In addition, he became the editor of lifestyle editor in Le Monde newspaper. Today, he joins forces with a combination of niche brands, designers and artists by supporting their development and their product launches. He also develops international strategies for groups such as Richmont, and Pernod-Ricard.
NAO OKAWA / Designer
Japanese designer Nao Okawa has been our GEYM’s Artistic Director from the SS16 collection. His work focuses on selecting technical fabric suitable for daily, urban use, as well as research on wearability in line with the GEYM vision. 13 years as head designer at Marithé et François Girbaud and a recent collaboration with Repetto has proven essential.
CHARLES GASTON-DREYFUS / Co-founder & collection co-director
Charles Gaston-Dreyfus launched Art’n Street, an organic, fair trade t-shirt brand hand-painted by young street artists. He is a sportsman, competitor and avid cyclist, who noticed that much of our clothing is not adapted to urban life – one key element always seems to be missing. Hence, GEYM was born through the search for the perfect combination between style and tech.
CLAUDE SÉRIEUX / Marketing director & collection co-director
Claude Sérieux is a man of many talents. After participating in the successful launch of Paul Smith in France, he became the first product manager for Hedi Slimane at Yves Saint-Laurent. In the early 2000s Claude was a freelance consultant for several brands including Kolor, Backlash, Closed… Claude joined the GEYM adventure in January 2015.

L’Express Styles, Spécial mode homme, 21-27 septembre 2016

WAD, Spring 2016

« Metal Hurlant »

Stylist, n°129, 07 avril 2016

« Former Marithé + François Girbaud head designer Nao Okawa debuts as artistic director at French menswear label Geym this season. For his take on the brand’s signature functional outdoor-wear Okawa has opted for bright, standout colours. Made from a Japanese hi-tech nylon, this jacket is both waterrepellent and breathable – as well as resistant to all creases and fitted with ample pockets. »

Monocle, issue 90 volume 09, February 2016
